Spring Craft: Cupcake Garden

Spring is here! It’s time to start planting your garden. Get everyone ready by creating our Cupcake Garden using pictures of your children and some cupcake liners.
What You’ll Need:
*Paper
*Cupcake liners
*Photos of your children
*Glue
*Crayons/colored pencils/markers
Preparation:
Matza Houses

A Kosher-for-Passover twist on the traditional gingerbread house. Have your children make and enjoy these delicious treats.
What You’ll Need:
*Platter
*Matza
*Frosting
*Assorted candies
Preparation:
*None!
Activity:
*Hold one matza perpindicular to your plate and put frosting on either side of the bottom to get it to stick to the plate.
St. Patrick's Day: Leprechaun Hat

Turn your little ones into lucky Leprechauns with these hats made from paper plates!
What You’ll Need:
*Paper plate
*Green paint & paintbrush
*Scissors
*Black construction paper
*Yellow construction paper
*Glue
Preparation:
*If you do not want to paint the paper plate, you can use a green paper plate instead.
Activity:
*Cut the center of the paper plate almost all the way around, but leave attached to the rim.
St. Patrick's Day: Shamrock Necklace

Have the luck of Irish with you all day long with these fun, easy shamrock necklaces!
What You’ll Need:
*Shamrock template (one per child)
*Yarn
*Scissors
*Crayons/markers -- green
*Hole punch or sharp pencil
*Ziti-type pasta (7 per child)
Preparation:
Print out one template (either MS Word or PDF) per child. We recommend cutting out the shamrocks first. This makes it easier to color both sides.

March 2 is Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss’ birthday! Celebrate both by reading your favorite Dr. Seuss book and making our Cat in the Hat hat!
What You’ll Need:
*Paper Plate
*Scissors
*Red paint
*Clear tape
*Stapler/glue
*Construction paper – 4 sheets white, 2 sheets red
Preparation:
*Cut out the center of the paper plate. You will only need the rim.
