Mother's Day: Flower Pens

Give that special Mom in your life flowers that she can keep forever! A fun way to keep your pens from disappearing – and pretty enough to leave out!

What You’ll Need:
*Pens
*Green floral tape
*Plastic or silk flowers
*Sharp scissors or knife
*Decorative glass stones
*Flower pot (no drainage holes, about 3 inches) OR small vase

*Construction paper
*Paint or ink (one color for the flower, plus green for the leaves)

Flower Petal Bookmark


This beautiful flower petal bookmark is not only a great way to commemorate summer flowers, it’s a great way to get kids into reading!

What You’ll Need:
*Flower petals
*Glad Press n Seal
*Scissors
*Construction paper
*Glue or rubber cement

Preparation:
*Enjoy a warm afternoon picking flower petals before the cooler fall weather comes!

Activity:
*Tear a piece of Glad Press n Seal about 8 inches wide per bookmark. Lay flat with the sticky side up.

Cow Seeds


Great Earth Day Activity! This is a fun activity for kids of all ages and is a great opportunity to explain how plants grow. Also makes a great novelty gift. (all ages)

What You’ll Need:
*Large white dried beans
*Permanent black marker
*Small sandwich bag
*Cow Seeds Instructions (see attachment below)
*Stapler
*Flower pot with soil, or other spot to plant seeds

Preparation:
*Use the black market to draw black cow spots on the white seeds.
*Place 5 to 6 seeds in each bag.

Stained Glass Pictures

Hang these beautiful “stained glass” pictures in your window! A beautiful, easy craft that kids will love to make.

What You’ll Need:
*Dragonfly template (see attachment below)
*Scissors or utility knife
*Glue
*Tissue paper, various colors

Preparation:
*Print out our dragonfly template, or create your own. We recommend printing on a heavier card stock paper, if possible.
*Using scissors or utility knife, cut OUT all white areas and around outer black square.
