Andrew's Loose Tooth Story & Craft for Tooth Fairy Day (2/28/10)
Andrew has a loose tooth, but no matter what he does he can’t seem to get it out. Read the hilarious story Andrew’s Loose Tooth by Robert Munsch to find out what crazy tricks Andrew’s family and friends have him try to get that loose tooth! Then do our fun mouth craft for Tooth Fairy Day on February 28.
What You’ll Need:
*Andrew’s Loose Tooth by Robert Munsch
*Red or pink yarn
*Cut the yarn into foot-long strips – about 10 per craft.
*Read Andrew’s Loose Tooth out loud. Pay special attention to the dentist’s car and tooth fairy’s necklace, as well as the other wacky illustrations.
*Talk about how many loose teeth your children have had. Does the tooth fairy come to your house? Count your teeth and talk about ways to keep them healthy.
*For the craft, turn your paper to “landscape” or horizontal format. Use the yarn to create wavy lines for the top lips and curved lines for the bottom lips. Be sure to leave a large space in between for your cotton ball teeth. Glue the yarn to the paper.
*Now glue cotton balls for teeth.
*Once it’s dry, trim the yarn.
*Send us a picture of your mouth and we may post it to our site! email@example.com.
