Plastic Jug Watering Can
Your children will love to help take care of your garden with this perfect watering can that uses recycled materials and is just their size! If you like this activity, check out our Bird Feeder craft which also uses recycled materials.
What You’ll Need:
*Empty half gallon jug
*On the side of the plastic jug opposite the handle, draw a circle that is just slightly smaller than the rim of your funnel. Cut the circle out. (We recommend that an adult do the cutting for this activity.)
*Place the funnel inside the opening so the spout faces out.
*Glue the funnel to the plastic jug. We recommend using hot glue.
*Decorate with stickers or permanent markers.
*Take this opportunity to talk about water as a necessary resource for all living things. Talk about how plants need water to grow, and so do people. Most of our beverages contain some amount of water, but it’s important that we all get enough water each day to keep our bodies hydrated and energized!
*Send us a picture of your kids and their watering cans we may post it to our site! firstname.lastname@example.org.

*Why Drinking Water is the Way to Go - an article from KidsHealth.org that will help your children understand why water is so important.
