Mardi Gras Masks

Free Custom Photo Calendars


Make these Mardi Gras masks using whatever craft materials you have around. Don’t forget to send us pictures of your little ones wearing their masks and we may post it to our site!

What You’ll Need:
*Mask template, see below
*Crayons, markers, etc.
*Craft supplies – feathers, pipe cleaners, cotton balls, etc.
*Cereal box, oaktag, or other lightweight cardboard
*Scissors
*Glue
*Hole punch or sharp pencil
*Yarn

Preparation:
*Print out one template per child – see attachments below. Cut out the eye holes.

Activity:
*Color in and decorate the masks. If you used glue for any of the craft materials, allow to dry thoroughly.
*Cut the masks out. Trace the outline of the mask onto the cereal box, oaktag, or cardboard. Trace the eyes as well. Cut out the mask and eyes from the cardboard. Glue the decorated mask to the cardboard – this will give it some stiffness. Allow to dry thoroughly.
*Use the hole punch or sharp pencil to punch one hole on each side of the mask and string a piece of yarn through.
*Put the mask on have a Mardi Gras parade!
