Make a special card for your Mom this Mother’s Day. If you like this craft, check out our Free Printable Greeting Cards and IOUs for Mother’s Day.
What You’ll Need:
*MOM template, optional, see attachments below
*Card stock or construction paper
*Stickers, etc., to decorate the card
*Print out one copy of the template (attached below) to use as a stencil. Cut out the letters as one piece of paper – do NOT separate out the letters.
*Trace the stencil onto card stock or construction paper.
*Color and decorate the letters on one side of the card with crayons, markers, stickers, etc., being careful to stay inside the lines. Use Mom’s favorite colors or draw a picture she might like.
*Cut the card out carefully – do NOT separate out the letters. Fold, accordion-style, so that the side you decorated is the side you see first.
*This is a good opportunity to talk with your kids about palindromes – words that are spelled the same forwards and backwards. Some examples are: Mom, Dad, wow, Bob, and racecar. How many more can you come up with?
*Send us a picture of your kids and MOM Cards and we may post it to our site! firstname.lastname@example.org.
