Memorial Day Popsicles
Celebrate the start of summer with this patriotic red, white, and blue freeze pops! Be sure to make these a day or two before your Memorial Day cookout for best results.
What You’ll Need:
*White grape juice or lemonade
*Red and blue food coloring
*Small paper cups
*Fill each cup about 1/4 of the way with juice. Add a drop or two of red food coloring and mix. Freeze for a few hours or until firm, but not frozen solid. Put the popsicle stick in the juice. It should stand up straight. If not, freeze for a little while longer and try again.
*Put cups and popsicles sticks back in freezer until frozen solid. Pour grape juice or lemonade over frozen juice until the cups are about ½ full. Put back in freezer until frozen solid.
*Mix about two cups of grape juice or lemonade with a drop or two of blue food coloring. Pour over frozen juice until cups are about ¾ full. Put back in freezer until frozen solid.
*Peel off the paper cup, turn upside down and enjoy the popsicles!
*Send us a picture of your kids enjoying their popsicles and we may post it to our site! email@example.com.
