We end Bubble Week with one of our favorite bubble ideas ever. Make these foamy, bubble snakes in seconds. If you like this craft, you’ll also like our Make Your Own Bubbles recipe.
What You’ll Need:
*Plastic water bottle
*Sharp knife or scissors
*Shallow plastic dish
*Grown-ups, cut the bottom off of a water bottle.
*Use the rubber band to secure the washcloth to cover the bottom of the water bottle. Discard the cap.
*Go outside and pour a small amount of dish soap into the shallow dish. Add some water to fill the dish. Dip the washcloth-covered bottom of the water bottle into the dish.
*Gently blow through the top of the bottle. Be sure to tell your kids not to inhale or they will get a mouth full of bubbles!
*Did you know? If you could see these many, many tiny bubbles up close, they would probably be in the shape of hexagons! That’s because as all the bubbles touch, their walls merge to minimize their surface area. Bubble walls meet at an angle and if you have enough bubbles touching each other, you’ll get a hexagon, or six-sided bubble shape!
*Send us a picture of your kids and their foam snakes we may post it to our site! firstname.lastname@example.org.
