A fun way to bring fishing indoors! If you like this craft, check out Basement Bowling -- another great indoor activity.
What You’ll Need:
*One stick or dowel rod
*Crayons or colored pencils
*String or yarn
*Contact paper or cardboard, optional
*Magnet (swipe one from your refrigerator)
*Go outside and get a stick for your fishing pole.
*Draw a simple fish shape on white paper and cut out as many fish as you’d like.
*Color the fish. Cover in contact paper or glue to cardboard, for added durability.
*Attach a piece of string or yarn to your stick or dowel rod by adding glue to tip and wrapping one end of the string around the top. Let dry.
*Cut out and color in a worm shape. Poke a small hole through the worm and tie it to the other end of the fishing pole string. Glue a small magnet to the underside of the worm.
*Add a paper clip to each of the fish. Go fishing by collecting fish with the worm magnet!
*Now’s a good time to talk about how magnets work. Check out this site for the top 6 things to know about magnets.
*Send us a picture of your kids going fishing we may post it to our site! email@example.com.
