Are your kids tired of the same old activities with just one week left of summer? Do these great Crazy Races and not only will everyone get some exercise, but they’ll have a blast!
What You’ll Need:
*Have the kids draw a start and finish line on the driveway. Depending on the ages of your kids, you’ll want to make the race short enough that the kids won’t be tired to do it again and again. If your kids have trouble staying in a line and bumping into one another while racing, draw lanes as well.
*For the first race and as a warm-up, we recommend doing a simple running race. Encourage the children to go as fast as they can, and remind them that everyone wins, even if they don’t finish first!
*For subsequent races, let the children take turns picking the activity. Here’s a list of ideas to get you started, but anything goes!
--hopping on one foot
--skipping or galloping
--twirling around in circles – be careful they don’t get too dizzy and fall down!
--spider walk (like a crab walk but instead of facing up, you are facing the ground – don’t put your knees down!)
