Canada Day: Handprint Flag

Free Custom Photo Calendars

Canada Day is July 1. Show your Canadian pride, or just your love for our neighbors to the north, with this Canadian flag craft. If you like this craft, you’ll also like our Fabric Wreaths -- use scraps of red and white fabric to make the perfect Canada Day decor.

What You’ll Need:
*white paper
*red paint, paintbrush

*Take a walk outside to find a stick.
*Did you know? Canada Day is similar to Independence Day in the United States. Canadians celebrate the anniversary of the formation of their country with fireworks, parades, and barbecues. The flag is made of two vertical red stripes with a red maple leaf in the center.

*Paint your hand red and make a handprint in the center of the page for the maple leaf.
*Paint two red stripes on either end of your paper. Allow to dry.
*Tape a stick to the back of the paper.
*Send us a picture of your kids and their Canadian flags we may post it to our site!
