Aquarium Sticker Scene
Aquarium week continues with this fun, make-your-own aquarium sticker scene that you can rearrange as often as you like! If you like this craft, you’ll also like our Swimmy post - a fun, fishy craft based on the book Swimmy.
What You’ll Need:
*Construction paper: blue, yellow, green
*Clear contact paper
*Talk about what kind of animals you might see in an aquarium or fish tank.
*Check it out: For some fabulous photos of real aquarium animals, visit the aquarium websites we listed in our Aquarium Trip post.
*First, make the fish tank by using the blue construction paper as the background. Glue on a wavy, yellow strip of paper to the bottom for the sand and a green plant or two on the sides. Allow glue to dry.
*Cut a strip of contact paper about two inches wide. Do not remove the backing. Use the permanent markers to draw various sea creatures on the contact paper.
*Cut around the animals, leaving about a 1/4 inch border.
*Cover the fish tank you made in clear contact paper, smoothing out any bubbles.
*Peel off the backing on the sea creatures. (A tip for removing contact paper: make a slight tearing motion on the border of the sea creature. The paper backing will rip, but not the contact paper, allowing you to peel it off easily.) Place them on your fish tank and rearrange as often as you like.
*Send us a picture of your kids and their sticker scenes we may post it to our site! firstname.lastname@example.org.
