My Activity Maker is owned and operated by me, Galit Fraser, a stay-at-home Mom and former teacher. For the last 8 years, I have been running the My Calendar Maker Family of sites including: My Calendar Maker, My Free Calendar Maker, and Yearly Calendar Maker . After talking with fellow teachers and Moms, I realized that there was a need out there for a great craft/activity/game site for kids and adults. My goal was to provide fun, free activities that parents, teachers, and caregivers could take and make their own. I started focusing on My Activity Maker in the spring of 2009 and it has taken off! With two of my three children still too young for school, I quickly realized I couldn’t do it all on my own, and my wonderful friends have stepped in to help.
Our newest contributor is Jessica Oates, whose adorable kids you'll be seeing a lot of on our site! Jessica says: I am a thirty-something mother of four who loves to do crafting, scrapbooking, photography, and reading (when i'm not too sleepy). I try to maintain my sanity with a 3 and 4 year old by keeping their little hands busy crafting...so they aren't busy destroying my house!
Jessica also has her own blog: Little Bits of Everything.
Eileen Sackin has been with My Activity Maker since the Fall of 2009. Eileen has a Masters in Special Education, has taught Pre-K and Kindergarten for over 30 years, and worked for 10 years as a director of a YMCA program for children with special needs. She was a stay-at-home for her own children, and now enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren, ages 1, 9, and 12. Eileen has a life-long love of working with children and helping them to reach their potential.
Natasha Schiller, single Mom and Membership & Marketing Director of a YMCA in NJ, has been a contributor to My Activity Maker since the Fall of 2009 with great ideas, such as our city scavenger hunts.
My Activity Maker is proud to accept posts, comments, and ideas from anyone who would like to share them. And, if you take a picture of your version of our activity or craft, send it to us and we may post it on our site!
